Mount Aspiring National Park

The drive from Wanaka to Fox Glacier via Mount Aspiring National Park was beautiful.  We stopped along the road to stretch our legs and get a better look at this rolling river.  Danita would have preferred that we viewed the river from the safety of the van, buckled in our seat belts...but, thankfully, we enjoyed the view without a single toddler/child/adult slipping on the edge and falling into the river. :)

Okay...to be fair...from this view, that edge is looking a little sketchy.

Steve might have had some interest in helping Landon get a closer look at the river, but I'm convinced that he was really just enjoying watching his poor Mom sweat and fret.

Most of the time, the twins gladly buckled up after our stops, but before long after stopping to see the river, they started having some fits...

...so we pulled into the next turnoff we saw, Thunder Creek Falls:

So glad we stopped!
