Happy Easter!

We couldn't find any egg-coloring kits at the store here in New Zealand, so Julia looked online, and she and Cameron mixed several colors on their own.  Since our eggs are brown-shelled (as opposed to the white ones we usually buy in the States), the coloring made the eggs look sort of vintage or antiqued.  We loved how they turned out!

Luke and Landon were in especially silly moods!  They kept saying, "Mom, take my picture!"  Here are just a few of my favorites:

Before long, their silliness started to rub off on the rest of us.....

.......except Rachel.  She was in no mood to be silly (or to be photographed, for that matter!):

Holy crusty!  :)  We backed off, but still continued to enjoy ourselves.

On Easter morning, we had our traditional Rice Krispie Treats "nests" with some candy, plus a few toys I found at the discount store. 

It wasn't until we were sitting in church, listening to talks about resurrection and how our bodies will be reunited with our spirits, then hearing Luke loudly exclaim, "I. Want. My. Zombie!!" that it dawned on me that I had made a poorly-timed purchase.  

We missed Steve, who had to work that weekend, and we missed being with family (as we usually do on holidays), but we still had a nice Easter together.
